TEMPE MUSIC FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 2 &
3
TEMPE, Ariz. (May 12, 2003) – The largest
music festival to hit the shores of Tempe Beach
Park will return in 2004 on Friday, April 2 and
Saturday, April 3. The festival features a 2-day
extravaganza of diverse musical entertainment,
unique special attractions, and interactive venues
for all ages.
The Tempe Music Festival is modeled after some
of the nation’s best festivals such as San
Diego’s ‘Street Scene’ and Milwaukee’s
‘Summerfest’. This past year, the
Tempe Music Festival hosted over 60 bands on five
stages during a two-day period. The inaugural
event brought nearly 20,000 people to the Tempe
Beach Park event grounds. The event became one
of the largest music festivals in the Southwest
to uniquely combine special attractions such as
The Jimi Hendrix Red House Tour and Fender Extreme
Sports Area with Master Guitar Builder Demonstrations.
“We are very proud of the first year success
of the Tempe Music Festival. We have received
a great deal of positive feedback from vendors,
talent, and sponsors all wanting to be a part
of the festivities for next year,” said
Ken Koziol, co-promoter of the Tempe Music Festival.
